Description |
This Dan mask is a wooden elongated mask with the chin narrowing down to the base. The surface color is a brownish/black and features elliptical eyes with small spaces, sweeping arched eyebrows indented in and along a narrow nose with a thin flat nose bridge. There is a raised vertical ridge down the middle of the forehead and exposes great age and usage. Below the nose is a raised vertical line with diagonal divets on each side of the line (like a feather). Holes are pierced around the perimeter of the mask and in the middle of the line under the nose. |
