Finely carved male Chi Wara headdress with extremely tall horns that curve at top. Horns topped with leather caps and thread. Four curving lines support the frame of antelope, outermost adorned with regularly spaced bumps indicating a mane. Intricate incised patterns throughout carving. Cluster of red threads on figure's left ear. Mid-20th century (1950s - 1960s) |
