Description |
Wooden mask with fabric hair and a net wrapping from the back of the head and around the neck. Has narrow, slit eyes, broad eyebrows that extend into a thin long nose, wide mouth opened to show saw-like teeth propped up by a wide chip. Has square pattern on cheeks and next to eyes extending to ears. Chokwe peoples, Democratic Republic of the Congo or Angola, Africa. 20th century |
