Description |
The figure carries a book in his left hand and an unidentified object in his right hand. He is seen in a seated posture with ankles crossed in a form lo lolitsesvara. His head is tilted to his left. He wears earrings and a necklace and bracelets and appears to be held on a lotus pedestal. Its fragmentary nature inhibits a definite attribution. Carved sandstone. Indian, 9th-11th century. |
